This short video will describe some amenities available to patients and their families on the second floor of the Bill Holmes Tower at CHOC Hospital.
The Family Resource Center is a space that offers education and comfort for patients and families.
A staff person will greet you and show you the information, services and programs that are available.
Family members can attend educational classes or support programs.
Children can select one book per day from our children’s library.
You can also check out two movies every 48 hours to watch in your child’s room during an inpatient stay.
Parents can check out two books every 48 hours.
Computers are available for research. A business center computer lab for adults is available for faxing, copying or printing.
For entertainment, children can make crafts, play with toys and games, watch a movie, and use the 3D printer.
A movie theater is also on the second floor.
The movie theater has a 100-inch screen, theater chairs and reclining seats.
The theater shows a variety of movies, and sometimes features films that are currently in theaters.
Your child can also play video games or watch TV in the movie theater.
Just outside the movie theater is a patient play area with benches and play equipment.
Near the Express Café is a relaxing outdoor roof garden with patio tables.
