Toy and Book Donations

Thank you for your interest in donating to CHOC, part of Rady Children’s Health. Toys, crafts and games are provided at patients’ bedsides, playrooms, waiting rooms and as gifts for birthdays, holidays, accomplishments or other special occasions.

For the safety of our patients, all items must be newly purchased and unwrapped. Items we cannot accept include any handmade items, cards, personal messages, company logo promotional items, religious, political or violent content, or anything that could be deemed disrespectful to the diversity within our community. Donors are not able to deliver gifts directly to patients. However, our child life staff and volunteers will distribute as appropriate.

It is preferred that donations be made through our online wish list which is updated regularly with our current needs. Please see the links below.

Holiday Toy Donations 2026

We will be accepting holiday donations at our Rady Children’s Hospital Orange Campus during the following dates and times only:

December 8 – 10 (Tuesday–Thursday): 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
December 14 – 17 (Monday–Thursday): 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
December 21 (Monday): 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. *This will be the last day to drop off donations until January 11, 2027.

For donation drop-offs larger than one carload, please contact us in advance for approval so we can ensure appropriate staffing is available to help receive your donation. Please email [email protected].

PLEASE NOTE: We will not be accepting donations from December 22, 2026 through January 10, 2027. Donation drop-offs will resume on January 11, 2027.
