Brief Description
A CHOC Pediatric Psychologist will discuss the impact of toxic stress on children and parents’ well-being. Presentation attendees will learn how to advocate for and protect their families’ mental health needs. The presentation will also teach parents, caregivers and the general public brief and concrete tips that can be used to strengthen mental health on a daily basis.

Presenter Bio
Dr. Ava Casados is a pediatric psychologist in CHOC’s Garden Grove Primary Care clinic. Dr. Casados earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Yale University and she completed her fellowship training in pediatric psychology at CHOC. She is a southern California native and is passionate about improving access to high-quality mental health services in our community.
