Lois and Wise: Lights! Camera! Resident dogs!
Chloe Krikac: The resident dog program is impactful and meaningful. We get to facilitate the human-animal bond in an environment that is meant for healing.
Title: Lois and Wise – Two Tails. One Mission.
Chloe: Wise is our brand new resident dog and I could not be more thrilled that her and her handler Katrina are joining our team.
Katrina Strash: Wise is a Labrador-golden retriever mix. She has naturally crimped ears and we like to say that she has Grinch feet. She has a lot of fur and fluff. She brings a lot of comfort and joy, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her here. We are just starting out, but I can already tell that she loves being around children. She’s doing such a good job and it really fills her cup.
Chloe: Wise is looking to Lois for a lot of support and Lois is really showing her the ropes. It’s actually really sweet.
Katrina: Wise looks forward to going to work because she knows that Lois is going to be here.
Chloe: I think about my own co-workers and how much life they give me. Seeing Lois and Wise interact and play has been such a joy.
Katrina: You’re able to witness the power of having a furry friend here and how that brings a sense of joy into these hospital walls.
Chloe: It’s about sitting back and letting the kids have a moment of silence and seeing them connect with our dogs in a way that only they can. That’s an incredible gift.
