“Southwest Tower – Your outpatient clinic appointment” Transcript
Welcome! This short video will explain what you can expect when visiting the
outpatient clinics at the Southwest Tower.
After your child is called for their visit, a medical assistant will greet you and guide
you to an exam or preparation room to take your child’s vital signs.
Depending on the specialty clinic, your child’s blood pressure, body temperature,
height and weight may be checked.
Crayons, paper and videos are available to help entertain your child until the
physician or nurse practitioner arrives.
When the physician or nurse practitioner joins you, the exam will begin. Feel free to
ask any questions during this time.
At the end of the visit, the medical assistant will review your child’s discharge
paperwork with you. This may include instructions for prescriptions, lab work,
follow-up appointments or any additional care your child may need.
