At CHOC, we understand that nothing is more important than your child’s health and well-being. That is why at the CHOC Dermatology program, we offer a broad range of clinical and surgical services for pediatric patients aged 0–21 with rare and severe skin, hair, and nail disorders.
Our board-certified dermatologists and pediatric dermatology advanced practice providers partner with patients and their families to provide tailored, specialized treatments. We strive to provide clinical excellence and comprehensive care in the diagnosis and management of complex dermatological diseases and to support research into their causes and treatment.
Why choose CHOC?
Integrative approach. We understand that children with complex medical conditions often benefit from seeing multiple specialists. To make this experience as convenient as possible, our dermatology team is dedicated to working with other specialties to provide comprehensive care for a growing list of conditions. This collaboration helps to minimize the need for additional visits and keeps life balanced.
Accessibility. Our team recognizes how transportation and commuting can add unnecessary stress to your child’s care. For this reason, we provide care at two different locations to provide convenient access in Irvine and Orange. Additionally, we offer tele-dermatology services where appropriate skin conditions can be managed from the comfort of your home.
Multidisciplinary programs and services. We understand that children with complex medical conditions often require several visits from multiple specialists. To mitigate that, the CHOC Dermatology program offers several clinics, including “after hour” care on weekends to reduce missed time for school and work for patients and families.
