Dr. Eric Ball has been a pediatrician with Southern Orange County Pediatric Associates in Ladera Ranch since 2006. He grew up in New Jersey and then attended college at Duke University. He remained in North Carolina to attend medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then trained in pediatrics at Stanford University, where he also served an additional year as Chief Resident.
Dr. Ball holds leadership positions in several medical organizations on local, state, and national levels. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Orange County, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Medical Association where he also chairs their legislative committee and serves as a delegate to the California Medical Association House of Delegates. He has held several state-wide roles in the American Academy of Pediatrics in California, including as Vice Chairperson and co-chair of the continuing medical education committee. Dr. Ball is also the Vice President of the California Immunization Coalition and leads a monthly state-wide webinar series educating California physicians on vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases. He also served on the California Surgeon General’s committee on the implementation of screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) in primary care practices.
