Dr. Pathare is a hospitalist at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, California. He is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine.
Dr. Pathare attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his internship, residency and chief residency at CHOC Hospital in Orange. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. He has a particular interest in infectious disease and has published in Pediatric Hospital Medicine textbooks, Hospital Pediatrics and Pediatrics in Review journals. His philosophy of care is to provide a wide scope of pediatric hospitalist care for the children at CHOC, and he cherishes the opportunity to teach the next generation of medical students and residents.
Dr. Pathare is an associate clinical professor of Pediatrics at Dartmouth Medical School and University of California, Irvine. He received the CHOC Teacher of the Year award in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2013; the UCI Outstanding Faculty teaching award in 2013 and 2016; and the UCI School of Medicine medical student teaching award in 2015 and 2018. He has been an Orange County Physician of Excellence since 2009.
