CHER Academy: Advanced Diabetes Skills for Supporting Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs: Tools for Effective Support

This in-person education session will provide practical guidance for supporting children and youth with diabetes. Attendees will explore advanced diabetes management, school-based scenarios, psychosocial and mental health considerations in Type 1 diabetes, and strategies for culturally responsive support. Hands-on stations will include diabetes technology troubleshooting, pump and continuous glucose monitor scenarios, and emergency management simulation.

This education session will be held in person at the RCH Orange County Wade Center, 1201 W. La Veta Ave., 2nd Floor. No virtual option is available.
