Hospital Equity Measures Report
CHOC Hospital Equity Measures Report (AB 1204)
At CHOC, we want every child and family to get safe, high-quality care. We also want our care to meet everyone’s unique needs. To help us do this—and to follow California’s Assembly Bill 1204—we share a report every year. This report shows how we are doing and where we can do better.
What’s in the report?
- Would families recommend CHOC?
We ask families if they would tell others to come to CHOC for care. - Unplanned re-admissions within 30 days
This means how often patients come back to the hospital within 30 days after going home for reasons that were not planned. - Differences in care
We look at how care and results show differences for patients based on age, race, language, or insurance. - Our equity action plan-how we make care fair.
We share the steps we are taking to make sure all patients get the care they need to be their healthiest selves
This report helps us listen and learn from families. Our goal is for every child to have the best chance to be healthy.
