Heather Hennrick, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist, practicing at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Dr. Hennrick specializes in neuropsychological assessment of children with medical conditions that impact central nervous system functioning (e.g., epilepsy), and neurodevelopmental evaluation for developmental disabilities (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability). Dr. Hennrick completed a 2-year pediatric neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship at CHOC, during which time she developed the Developmental Disabilities in Epilepsy (DDE) Clinic; she continues to lead this clinic, conducting pre/post neurosurgical evaluations for epilepsy patients with a developmental disability. Dr. Hennrick is certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and provides various forms of parent management training (PMT) to other licensed clinicians interested in providing PMT services. She also provides clinical support and training for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Clinical Interests:

Neuropsychological assessment of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents. Specializes in working with children with epilepsy, especially those with intractable epilepsy who may benefit from epilepsy surgery.

Research Interests:

Neuropsychological outcomes of epilepsy surgery, as part of the Pediatric Epilepsy Research Consortium (PERC). PERC is a national collaboration of more than 75 pediatric epilepsy programs and over 350 pediatric epileptologists, pediatric neurosurgeons, pediatric neuropsychologists, and other pediatric epilepsy researchers. Founded in 2010 by physicians and scientists determined to find better treatments for their patients, PERC has grown to become the leader in pediatric epilepsy research by providing a network and infrastructure to facilitate collegial, collaborative, practice-changing research.
