Dr. Majumdar is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. She treats a broad range of orthopedic conditions, including fractures, growth plate injuries and musculoskeletal trauma, with a focus on sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle and elbow in young athletes.
She earned her BS and MS in exercise science from the University of New Mexico, where she competed as an NCAA Division I pole vaulter. Dr. Majumdar received her medical degree and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, followed by an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and a post-fellowship preceptorship in pediatric trauma.
Dr. Majumdar has served as a team physician for high schools, colleges and national sporting events, including NCAA Division I and USATF championships. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with research interests in biomechanics, ACL injuries, return to sport and care of skeletally immature athletes.
