Dedicated to research and health improvement, Dr. Lien Trinh is involved in a North American multi-center study evaluating a medication that may improve and prolong the residual function of beta cells in early and new onset type I diabetes. She is also involved in a study of growth hormone and IGF1 therapy in children with short stature.

Dr. Trinh is board certified in pediatrics and in pediatric endocrinology. Prior to joining CHOC, Dr. Trinh attended medical school in Grenada at St. George’s University, School of Medicine. She served her internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, New York Medical College and completed her fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Trinh is fluent in Vietnamese.
