An expert in her field, Dr. Gira Morchi is an Interventional pediatric cardiologist who specializes in pediatric angioplasty. Dr. Morchi is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. Prior to joining CHOC, Dr. Morchi attended medical school at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island and conducted her fellowship program in pediatric cardiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center/The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
During her fellowship training, Dr. Morchi participated in the Tenwek Hospital Cardiac Screening Program in East Africa and served on a clinical rotation in Bangalore, India at the Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute.
Dr. Morchi has been appointed Division Chief of Cardiology and is the Co-Medical Director of the Heart Institute
