Dr. Angela Li is a board-certified pediatrician and adult congenital heart disease specialist who offers expert care for young teens and adults with congenital heart disease. Her clinical and research areas of interest include transcatheter congenital interventions, adolescent to adult transitional care and cardio-obstetrics.
Dr. Li attended Johns Hopkins University for her undergraduate degree where she double majored in molecular and cellular biology and East Asian Studies. She completed her medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine, followed by her Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Rush University, where she fostered an interest in adult congenital heart disease. She went on to Hofstra/North Shore University for both her general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship, after which she completed her adult congenital heart disease fellowship at UCLA.
Dr. Li’s training has allowed her to work in the intersection of interventional cardiology, structural heart disease and adult congenital heart disease, which will be her continued area of focus in her career. She is excited to start an adult congenital heart disease program in Orange County, with her joint appointments at UCI and CHOC.
