Dr. Khalighi is board certified in both general pediatrics as well as adolescent medicine and is a member of the CHOC Medical Group treating teens and young adults at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. She is also a volunteer clinical faculty member at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Khalighi received her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience at the University Of Michigan and received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, now known as Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her internship at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, and her pediatric residency and chief residency here at the UC Irvine/CHOC pediatric residency program.
Dr. Khalighi continued her training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she specialized in adolescent medicine. She has a special interest in management of heavy and painful menstrual bleeding and has published research among the adolescent population on this topic.
Dr. Khalighi is passionate about helping adolescents navigate life, health, and wellness, from childhood into adulthood.
