Dr. Aaron J. Shaw is a board-certified pediatric infectious diseases specialist at CHOC Children’s Hospital. He provides expert clinical care for children with complex infections, including respiratory illnesses, osteoarticular infections, and diseases in immunocompromised patients. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Shaw is a leader in hospital quality and safety, leading the division in Quality Improvement projects and serving on the Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention committees. His professional interests also include surgical site infections and medical informatics, where he helps bridge the gap between clinical specialty needs and information technology. He has contributed to peer-reviewed literature and book chapters on pediatric otolaryngology amongst other topics. He is an active educator on the team helping provide lectures to medical students, residents and fellows on the team.
