State of the Art Emergency Care
Designed to meet the unique needs of children in a safe and serene environment, the Julia and George Argyros Emergency Department at CHOC Children’s is the first in Orange County exclusively dedicated to the treatment and healing of children of all ages—from the tiniest newborns to adolescents.
Imaging / Radiology
The CHOC Children’s Radiology Department is the only imaging facility in Orange County just for children, offering a wide range of imaging services in a calm and inviting unit for kids of all ages. Our imaging machines are carefully calibrated to provide the highest-quality images using the lowest doses of radiation possible for such services as ultrasound, X-ray, fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) and CT scans.
Surgery at the Tidwell Procedure Center
We offer one of the most technologically advanced and compassionate pediatric surgical experiences in California, as well as common pre-surgery tests, including blood draws, MRIs, X-rays and electrocardiograms. No matter what type of surgery or procedure your child will be receiving, our surgeons, nurses and other pediatric-trained specialists are dedicated to making the surgical experience a success.
Laboratory Services
CHOC’s Laboratory Services is one of the only dedicated pediatric labs in Southern California. Our 20,000-square-foot lab offers the most compassionate blood draw experience possible, with phlebotomists who have a one-visit, one-poke goal for every patient they see. We pride ourselves on processing tests as quickly and efficiently as possible, and also can provide advanced DNA and microbiology testing.
The CHOC Children’s Heart Institute
The only pediatric-dedicated heart facility in Orange County offers the latest in advanced cardiac care for an entire spectrum of cardiac conditions in newborns to adolescents. We are the only regional facility that performs neonatal and pediatric open-heart surgery, and our multi-disciplinary team is specially trained in the management of infants and children with congenital heart defects.
