Dr. Geraldine Ruiz, Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Geraldine Ruiz is a board-certified pediatric dentist who graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Physiology from California State University, Long Beach, while working as a private academic tutor for children and volunteering at a non-profit children’s dental clinic. She continued her studies and received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. After obtaining her Doctorate in Dental surgery, Dr. Ruiz wanted to be better qualified to care for children’s teeth, so she completed an additional two-year residency program to become a pediatric dentist. She obtained her specialization in Advanced Pediatric Dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ruiz is the former Residency Director for the University of Southern California Advanced Pediatric Dental Program at Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County, which helped her in being up to date with changes in the pediatric dental field. Dr. Ruiz has also held a position on the Board of Directors for the non-profit children’s dental clinic called Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County. She is also a faculty member and has been on the Board of Directors of the University of Southern California Advanced Pediatric Dental Program. A mother herself, Dr. Ruiz strives to ensure her patients and their families feel comfortable, and find dental appointments fun, easy and educational.
