“This is an exciting time to be a gastroenterologist working with eosiniophilic esophagitis patients,” Dr. Patel said. “Research on this emerging disease is yielding innovative treatments that we are able to quickly implement with our patients. Working with my allergy and immunology colleagues and the dieticians and food therapy specialists at the CHOC Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic, we are focused on continually providing patients with the most cohesive, individualized treatment plans using the very latest research.”

Known as an expert in gastrointestinal disorders with specific focus on eosinophilic esophagitis, Dr. Patel’s research has been presented at numerous conferences, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHN) Annual Conference, the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies Annual Meeting and many others. His research findings on eosinophilic esophagitis have been published in a number of journals, including Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition and Allergy and Asthma & Clinical Immunology.
