From The Orange County Register

Children’s Hospital of Orange County has been given high marks for its Early Developmental Assessment Center.
The California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative recently recognized the center for exceeding recommended rates for high risk follow-up care. CHOC’s center was one of 12 out of 71 in the state to earn the recognition.
The center provides comprehensive assessment to infants and toddlers who may be lagging in their physical, cognitive and/or behavioral development. Infants who have been in neonatal intensive care may be at risk for developmental difficulties, and early intervention can often make a difference in quality of life. The center does an initial assessment and then checks in at critical milestones until a child’s third birthday.
