In addition to his considerable duties hosting American Idol and the KIIS-FM weekday morning show, Ryan Seacrest is finding time to support CHOC. On more than one occasion, he has broadcast his top-rated radio show from the hospital.
Mr. Seacrest and KIIS-FM also
raised funds for Radio Lollipop, an in-house radio station built inside the CHOC lobby. During one of his shows, he launched an online auction that ran for several weeks and ultimately raised $30,000 for this project. KIIS-FM teamed up with GOT Toyota in Tustin
to present the 1,000 car challenge. Response was incredible and GOT Toyota gave a generous gift of $25,000 to CHOC to support Radio Lollipop.
On September 22, 2006, he christened Radio Lollipop at CHOC by broadcasting his morning show from inside the CHOC studio. After the broadcast, Mr. Seacrest was on hand to visit and sign autographs for CHOC patients.
