As a registered nurse working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CHOC at Mission, Patty Zinsser never imagined she'd have her own newborn hospitalized. Yet, when her youngest son, Brady, was born premature and weighing just three pounds, he spent 56 days in CHOC at Mission's NICU. Patty took comfort in knowing Brady was in "very good hands." And, was so proud of her son's progress - quickly meeting every milestone. Today, Brady is 13 years old, an athlete, and still the pride of his family, which includes three older siblings. He continues to reach exciting new milestones - the next one being his first marathon! And, Patty continues to work in the CHOC at Mission NICU, where she utilizes her own experience and the story of her son to provide comfort and hope to new parents. Both Patty and Brady are grateful to be part of the CHOC at Mission family - and to call Brady a shining NICU graduate.
