For several years, CHOC has enjoyed a special relationship with the Anaheim Ducks. Last December, the entire team, wearing their jerseys, handed out hats, pucks and goodies. Our patients' faces lit up when they saw them in the hallways. Team members even played air hockey in our playroom. Anaheim Ducks management and staff were also on hand, and made very generous contributions to CHOC.
As part of our ongoing relationship, some CHOC patients are also able to attend Ducks practice sessions. A few are lucky enough to ride the Zamboni during a game. Recently, CHOC patients, families and Associates were able to attend a special CHOC Night at the Honda Center during a regular-season Ducks game. A portion of the ticket sales came back to CHOC.
