In 1980, Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center helped pioneer the trauma system for Orange County. Since then, the hospital has housed the region's only designated trauma center. Mission Hospital and Children's Hospital at Mission's highly experienced team of trauma surgeons, trauma resuscitation nurses and related health care personnel are on standby-24 hours a day.
