PHARMACY

CHOC and Children's Hospital at Mission have both Inpatient and Outpatient pharmacy services staffed by professionals specially trained to understand the complexities of pediatric health care. A clinical pharmacist is dedicated to each unit in the hospital, and only chemo-certified personnel prepare chemotherapeutic drugs.

Clinical pharmacists play a key role in the hospital's multi-disciplinary patient care teams, participating in daily patient rounds, monitoring drug therapy and assisting in the generation of chemotherapy orders.
